Help finding a job when you have anxiety and depression

Job seeker with anxiety and depression, at CoAct Employment

Need support finding a job with anxiety or depression?

You could be eligible for Disability Employment Services (DES).

We help people who have been diagnosed with depression and anxiety find a job they enjoy.

Our support is free and includes helping you decide on the right job for you, writing a resume, looking for work and putting together applications. We’ll even continue to support you once you’re in your new role.

Already working but struggling to stay in employment due to mental illness, depression or anxiety? We can work with you and your employer to provide assistance to maximise support to keep working.
“I struggle with severe anxiety and depression and find my case manager very easy to talk to. She’s warm, caring and supportive.”

The last 6 months has been a rollercoaster, but I’d do it all again in a heartbeat

Hi, my name is Jake and I’m a parcel sorter at Australia Post. I’ve been here since September last year and have been with CoAct and Interact for a couple of years.

Lucas grows a new mindset

Lucas hadn’t left home in 5 years when he reached out to CoAct / Youth Projects. He was living with extreme anxiety and made the decision to reach out for support just as Melbourne was entering its colossal four-month lockdown in early 2020.

Managing anxiety can be tough, especially when you’re looking for a job. CoAct has a range of service partners who are mental health specialists. They work closely with you to understand your needs and connect you to the right support network.
